Senior, Savannah Gomez, has been selected to the TGCA 4-A ALL STATE Softball Team. This is a HUGE accomplishment. If you ever see her around, please give her a pat on the back!

Four seniors were awarded ACADEMIC ALL STATE by TGCA: Rylea Whitus, Savannah Gomez, Yareli Vega, and Katie Barnett. This is another HUGE accomplishment. If you see them around, please tell them congratulations!

Hudson Bennett is your back to back Conference 4A 3200m Champion, breaking his own school record by 10 seconds! He is the Conference 4A 1600m Silver Medalist with a time of 4:19.38. WTG Hudson!!

The Social Studies and Current Issues teams both won state championships over the weekend at the State UIL Academic meet in Austin! Click on the link to read the details. BHS is very proud of these two teams! WTG!

Katelyn designed costumes for the UIL script choice, Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express. In the preliminary round, she competed against 725 entries in Division 1 (1A - 4A), where she earned an exemplary rating advancing her to state with 25 other entries. At State on May 3rd and 4th, she made alterations to her work, which was then adjudicated that included a presentation to a judge. On May 4th, the Burnet Chamber of Commerce hosted a breakfast to recognize all BHS students who have maintained an A average in all classes every six weeks. These students exemplify determination and grit, and this is an exceptional accomplishment! Congratulations students!!

This team includes 3 seniors and a sophomore! What a way to wrap up their senior year!! These kids have been working hard all year and it paid off!! Click on the link for detailed results.

They competed this weekend at Connally High School and placed 4th overall! The team includes: Eliza Proctor, Sean Woods, Knox Ward , Jaxon Gonzales, and Lyndon Scott.

Freshman - Lyndon Scott - 1st Place in the Steak Category and got his first PERFECT SCORE of the season!

All five Burnet High School BBQ Teams are headed to the State Championship held here at Burnet High School May 7th, next Saturday.
