Principal's Message

Mid-September 2022

What a great start to the school year!  Homecoming week was a blast and we are thankful for the rain.  We are looking forward to the Senior Bonfire on October 27th as we were unable to have the bonfire on Homecoming week due to dry weather.  Last week also wrapped up suicide prevention week.  Burnet is proud to implement the Say Something anonymous reporting app and website where students can report anonymously any concerns they are noticing with their friends.

There are a lot of exciting things happening at Burnet High School this month. Please check the event calendar frequently to ensure that you and your student are up to date on what is coming up.

Howdy! I am proud to call Burnet my home and to be a Burnet Bulldog. During my time as principal at Burnet High School, I have seen a wonderful culture of Spirit, Pride, and Honor develop and am so proud of the staff and students for all of their accomplishments - most recently the increase in student achievement on ELA and Math EOC assessments. I hold a Mathematics degree from the University of Texas and an Educational Leadership degree form Sul Ross.  I have served consecutive terms as the chair of the Austin Community College Tech Prep Board and am currently servicing as Region 13 Board Member on the Texas Association of Secondary Principals Board. I work to serve all teachers and students' best academic interests and needs by ensuring that state-of-the-art programs and opportunities are in place at Burnet High School. Together, we are Crafting the Future - a future of Spirit, Pride, and Honor.
