Principal's Message

August 2023

We’re looking forward to another great year at Burnet High School! Here at BHS, we strive to ensure that all students are college, career and/or military ready when they walk across the stage at graduation. You can rest assured that meeting their academic, social and emotional needs is at the heart of all our decisions!

Our doors are always open and there is much to do to ensure the success of our students. Please do not hesitate to stop by, call or email to discuss any concerns you may have or to offer suggestions and ideas to help us accomplish our goals.

There are a lot of exciting things happening at Burnet High School this month. Please check the event calendar frequently to ensure that you and your student are up to date on what is coming up. The EDC has been working hard on their halftime program, and our football, volleyball, cross country, and tennis teams have started their seasons. We would love to see you out supporting the Bulldogs!

Howdy! I am proud to call Burnet my home and to be a Burnet Bulldog. During my time as principal at Burnet High School, I have seen a wonderful culture of Spirit, Pride, and Honor develop and am so proud of the staff and students for all of their accomplishments - most recently the increase in student achievement on ELA and Math EOC assessments. I hold a Mathematics degree from the University of Texas and an Educational Leadership degree form Sul Ross.  I have served consecutive terms as the chair of the Austin Community College Tech Prep Board and am currently servicing as Region 13 Board Member on the Texas Association of Secondary Principals Board. I work to serve all teachers and students' best academic interests and needs by ensuring that state-of-the-art programs and opportunities are in place at Burnet High School. Together, we are Crafting the Future - a future of Spirit, Pride, and Honor.
