3rd Six Weeks - 2019

As we enter the holiday season, we are getting excited about all of the wonderful traditions at Burnet High School.  Be sure to check our calendar for upcoming events such as the Nutcracker, Community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony hosted at BHS, Bulldog Bistro, Band and Choir Christmas concerts, and many others.  It is easy to lose sight of the important academic dates and deadlines this time of year.  STAAR EOC retesting will take place December 9-13.  WIth the third six weeks beginning, please take a moment to review your child's grades and attendance and ensure they are on track to gain credit for the Fall semester.

Howdy!  I am proud to call Burnet my home and to be a Burnet Bulldog.  During my time as principal at Burnet High School, I have seen a wonderful culture of Spirit, Pride, and Honor develop and am so proud of the staff and students for all of their accomplishments - most recently the increase in student achievement on ELA and Math EOC assessments.  I hold a Mathematics degree from the University of Texas and n Educational Leadership degree form Sul Ross.  I have served consecutive terms as the chair of the Austin Community College TechPrep Board and am currently servicing as Region 13 Board Member on the Texas Association of Secondary Principals Board.  I work to serve all teachers and students' best academic interests and needs by ensuring state-of-the-art programs and opportunities are in place at Burnet High School.  Together, we are Crafting the Future - a future of Spirit, Pride, and Honor.
