Congratulations to these students who won all three places in Burnet County! In addition, these students will be awarded a scholarship at the VFW in Marble Falls on Saturday, April 7th. This contest is sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary. Paige Adams won first place and will be moving to area, Jorden Berryman won second place and Rayn Tommbelly won third place. Congratulations to these outstanding artists!

The next round, Area playoffs, will be Tuesday, April 3rd vs Boerne at Fredericksburg High School. We will be the home team. The tickets will be $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. The gates will open at 6:00 p.m., start time at 7:00

Culinary Arts student cakes were a hit at Purse Cake Bingo benefiting the Hill Country Advocacy Center this weekend at Horseshoe Bay Resort. They raised $1575 for a great cause! Spirit, Pride & Honor!

Jess Luther and Jazlyn Marvin capture the Bronze Medal at the 2018 CX Debate State Meet over Spring Break. Out of 59 teams in Conference 4A vying for top medals, Jess and Jazlyn proudly placed third- a new CX Debate record for Burnet High School. Spirit, Pride and Honor Jess and Jazlyn!

Burnet McDonald's owner Maria Lim and other McDonald's representatives were guests at a recent pep rally to award Burnet High School with a 10,000 check for winning the Lovin School Spirit Hashtag contest. It was an exciting day for Burnet High School students, Thank you McDonalds!

Swine exhibitors from over twenty states gathered in Belton, Texas this past week for the National Swine Show and Sale. Ellett Van, with his duroc gilt "Poppy" were named Grand Champion of the duroc gilt event. Congratulations to Ellett Van for this exciting win. Spirit, Pride & Honor Ellett!

Burnet High School civil engineering, Architecture PLTW, and Geometry in Construction students and teachers visited job sites with American Constructors! The construction team showed them around the new Austin Community College District San Gabriel Campus and Pedernales Electric Cooperative Northwest Operations Center. #spiritpridehonor

Meghan was recently honored at the February 19th Board of Directors Meeting. She was nominated for BHS Student of the month by the Social Studies Department. She was chosen for her academic achievement and her contribution to Burnet High School. Meghan has unmatched work ethic, both in academics and extracurricular activities. She participates in Theater, UIL, and multiple student organizations. She was a part of the Social Studies state champion UIL team and an individual state qualifier in Ready Writing. Meghan makes Burnet High School a better place. Congratulations Meghan! Spirit, Pride & Honor!

The Outstanding Youth of the Year Award was presented to BHS Senior Ellett Vann at the 63rd Annual Burnet Chamber of Commerce Awards on Saturday, February 17th. Congratulations Ellett!

The Employee Scholarship Committee would like to extend a HUGE Thank You to Domino's and Ike Caronas for donating 20% of profits raised during the week of February 5, 2018. This donation will go to provide scholarships to 13 students of BCISD Employees and help them succeed with their future endeavors.
