Classes resume Tuesday, November 28

We appreciate our substitute teachers!

On Tuesday, November 14, over 60 Burnet High School students were honored and recognized at the SPH Awards Breakfast. Each BHS teacher nominated a student that has been seen demonstrating Spirit, Pride, and Honor in some way. Each of these students are helping to build a culture of excellence at BHS!

BHS Students of the Month for November are Sienna Maldonado (Dance), Ethan Nicholl (Band), and Josiah Villarreal Flores (Choir). These students were selected by the Fine Arts Department.

At the November 13th Board Meeting, the Board recognized BHS Seniors Addie Houston (1st Team), MaeSyn Gay (2nd Team), and Reagan Shipley (2nd Team) for being named to the Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State Volleyball Team. Congratulations, ladies!

From Coach Kristi Jones: "Coach Shipley is the kind of Coach that any parent would want to lead their kid. She teaches life skills that will be used in all walks of life and is always willing to go above and beyond for the students in BCISD. Coach Shipley brings the energy every day, She has set high standards for our Lady Dawg athletic program and fearlessly leads our athletes to greatness. BCISD is blessed to have such a passionate role model to guide our young people."

Thank you for your (and your family's) sacrifices. We are honored to have Officer Dalton Buchhorn, Jeff Copsetta, and Jennifer Williams as part of our BHS family. You have made a difference for our country and for each of us.

Congratulations to these Seniors on Academic All-State Honors!! We are so proud of their hard work all four years in the classroom!! (Must maintain 92 average or better all four years. Class Rank, GPA, SAT/ACT are also a factor.)
