Burnet High School is proud to announce Laura Krienke as the BHS Teacher of the Year! Laura excels as an educator, and her infectious enthusiasm and daily energy for her students are truly remarkable. She has a tender heart that allows her to see what each student needs. She goes above and beyond to help her bilingual students succeed. She is willing to translate anything so students can take an assessment in a way that allows them to show whether or not they know the material. She believes that the educational system should meet students where they are and her efforts exemplify that. She advocates for her students and is always there to provide for them based on their multiple needs. She attends their extracurricular events and volunteers her time to let them know how much she cares about their growth and learning as a student and individual. You will also find her helping out at any campus and many community events. She spends countless hours after school to make sure work is completed and assignments are translated. Mrs. Krienke believes in providing a high quality education to all students. She is truly an asset to this campus and shows tremendous amounts of Spirit, Pride, and Honor. She is definitely one of a kind, and we are blessed to have her at BHS!
