The Lady Dawgs have been busy the last few weeks! We started off our season at Stephenville last Tuesday. Stephenville was state semi finalists last year, so we knew this was going to be a great game! We competed well and ended up losing 4-2. We turned around and went to the Palestine tournament Thursday-Saturday. The Lady Dawgs started off strong with a big 7-0 win against Mexia, and then a 9-0 win against Cumberland. Friday we played Whitestone and lost 1-0 off a penalty kick. That afternoon we played Athens, who usually goes far in the playoffs, and we tied them 3-3. Saturday we finished the tournament with a 2-1 win over Palestine. The girls had a quick turn around and played last night against Bandera and got a 8-0 win. Our sophomore Brook Oliva hit her 50th varsity goal last night!! JV also finally had a game last night and won 6-0 VS Bandera.
These girls are working hard and have 2 weeks left until district starts!
We are hosting the Bulldog Classic this weekend and would love to have you guys come out and watch. We will start tournament play tomorrow night at 6:00 PM VS Brownwood. We play Friday morning at 9:00 AM VS La Vernia and 6:00 PM VS Killeen Ellison, Saturday is TBD.
