About Me:
Howdy y'all!  Hola!  My name is John Calhoun.  Me llamo John Calhoun.  I will be teaching Spanish 1.  I was born in Burnet hospital in 1984 and graduated from Burnet High School in 2002.  I married my wife Sarah (teacher at R.J. Richey) in 2008.  We have three kids,  Mason, 16, Madelynn, 9, and Merit, 7.  We moved back to the Bertram area in 2022 and I'm very excited to be home and to help my community grow our youth.  I enjoy fishing, food, photography, and the hill country outdoors.
 
Experience:
I finished my Bachelor's degree at the University of Texas-Permian Basin in 2021 and my teaching certification in 2022.  I taught at Odessa High School from 2021-22.  I'm beginning my third year of teaching at Burnet High School and my 40th year of learning.
