Ashley Lunsford
I attended Texas Tech University where I received a Bachelor of Science - Human Development and Family Studies with a focus on Early Childhood development. This is my 12th year of teaching. I started my teaching career in 1999 in first grade, then moved down to kindergarten and in 2005 took some time off to raise my babies. My babies are Isabel, in her second year at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Long Island, NY, where she is on the swim team, and Caroline, a senior here at BHS where she is a 4th year Highlandette and a 4th year swimmer. I am a Burnet High School graduate, class of 1995 (this is my 30 year anniversary of graduation from High School!), and was a Highlandette all four years under the direction of Mrs. Clinton’s mother! I came back to my Alma Mater to teach 6 years ago and it has been a great experience! I enjoy anything that has to do with a body of water - swimming, skiing, beaching, etc. Hobbies include cooking and hiking, walking, running, reading. I will be teaching in the Career and Technical Education department - the education pathway, including Principles in Education, Child Development, Educational Practices and Practicum in Education. I am looking forward to a great 2024/2025 school year!
