Robert Straight (Hot Glass Artist) will be here on Monday April 22 in the amphitheater all day. Glass will start being made around 10ish and for the next 4 hours you can watch it be created by Robert , Mrs. Timmons and Eric. The next day the results of the blown glass will be on displayed in the BHS library.

In honor of Assistant Principal's Week, we want to thank Ms. Carruthers, Mr. Chafin and Mrs. Stewart for being amazing Assistant Principals who work tirelessly to further the academic success and well-being of each student here at BHS! You touch lives on a daily basis and this week we are happy to be able to celebrate YOU!!!

BHS Junior, Ty Holbrook, has brought the Crayola ColorCycle Campaign here to Burnet High School. The campaign was devised to "repurpose" used markers of all kinds instead of sending them to landfills! This campaign was recently kicked off by teachers entering into a contest to see who could make the best marker collection box. Mrs. Gegogeine was our winner!

If you are a volunteer for BCISD, mark your calendar now for the BCISD Volunteer Appreciation Reception. It will be held Thursday, April 11 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. at the Burnet CISD Board Room.

Our students recently competed and excelled in the Patriotic Competition held by the Lady's Auxiliary of the VFW Post in Burnet.

ASU Physics Professor, Trey Holik, recently gave a presentation to PLTW Engineering classes. He conducted some awesome Physics demonstrations over Pascal's law, Archimedes' principle, Bernoulli's principle, and the Tesla coil principal.

Our students recently participated in the Shattered Dreams program, which highlights the effects of impaired driving. Every 15 minutes in the United States, a life is lost due to impaired driving.

On Friday and Saturday, HOSA students competed at Area competition held at John B Connally High School in Pflugerville.
