From Coach Shipley:
Last Friday, our Lady Dawgs made the trip to Gatesville for our very first track meet of the season.
Although we were missing a few athletes due to illness, injuries, and other school activities, our girls still showed up and competed hard. Their effort and determination were evident in every event.
Our Varsity girls finished 2nd overall, just behind Salado.
Our JV girls earned 3rd place, finishing behind Salado and West.
We are incredibly excited to get this season underway and begin setting big goals based on the marks and times we earned last week. This group has already shown that they are ready to compete at a high level.
We head to Lago Vista this Thursday and look forward to building on our momentum.
We are so proud of every one of our girls and the work they put in daily. Many of them are going before and after school throughout the week to compete in multiple school events and sports. Their commitment, resilience, and heart do not go unnoticed, and it’s only the beginning for this Lady Dawg team.
