Congratulations Maddy Cardenas and Victoria Davis, the BHS Students of the Month!

From Mrs. Clinton:

Madeline Cardenas is a 4 year member of Highlandettes and has served as an officer for 3 years and the Captain this year. Madeline is a leader in and outside of the classroom, maintains a high GPA, and is the president of the Interact Club and an SPH Leader. Madeline puts others before herself and is continually thinking of ways to improve herself and those around her. After high school, Madeline plans to attend Texas State University.

From Mr. Cox:

I’ve had the privilege of working with Victoria Davis for the past six years, and in that time I’ve watched her grow into an exceptional musician, leader, and young adult.

Victoria currently serves as the Head Drum Major of the Burnet Esprit de Corps, and she is one of the most dependable and capable student leaders I’ve worked with. She embodies servant leadership—she’s always willing to help, she listens thoughtfully, and she leads by example.

In addition to her leadership, Victoria is an outstanding musician. She is a dedicated bassoonist who has earned recognition at both the UIL Region and Area levels. She also has experience in keyboard percussion and has performed outside of school in community ensembles and bassoon camps.

Her involvement goes far beyond the band hall. Victoria has participated in golf, theater, and several service organizations, including Burnet County Santa’s Helpers and the Hill Country Humane Society. Her commitment to serving others speaks volumes about her maturity and character. She does all of this while excelling academically, ranking in the top ten percent of her class.

Victoria’s combination of leadership, musicianship, and determination makes her an outstanding representative of Burnet CISD. She approaches every task with enthusiasm, diligence, and grace, and I have no doubt she will continue to make a positive impact as she pursues her music degree in college.
