Congratulations to Cora Everett, October Rotary Student of the Month!

Cora has been a wonderful leader to our FFA chapter. She has been an FFA Chapter officer, a District FFA officer, a member of the meats judging team, a Senior Skills team member, has been involved in showing pigs, and has participated in many other Burnet FFA activities. She attends State FFA conventions during the summer to represent our FFA chapter and learn new and innovative things about the FFA. Cora is the first to volunteer to help new students in the pig barn and is always one of the first to show up and one of the last to leave at our FFA Chapter events. She is a role model for our Junior FFA students in the Pig Barn, where they all look up to her. Cora comes from a wonderful family that is always there to support her in all of her endeavors.

At school, Cora is a member of SPH - The Spirit, Pride and Honor group that leads the school.  Cora is an integral part of the Esprit De Corps - Drumline where they have been awarded numerous awards. She will also be a member of the Softball team this year.

Cora has been working as an electrician the past few summers and already holds an electrician license. After graduating from High School, Cora plans to attend Texas Tech or Tarleton and major in Law enforcement / Criminal Justice / Forensic Science. She will then go to the Police Academy to become a Police Officer, in hopes to someday become an FBI agent.
