Last week, each of our Lady Dawg volleyball teams earned two wins on their record! Here are the highlights from last week:
- All three teams swept (no sets lost) Taylor at home.
- JV and Freshman teams won in two sets at Jarrell.
- Varsity won in 4 sets against Jarrell in a tough environment! It was exciting to see our girls fight the way they did!
- Payton Smith surpassed 800 career assists!
- Laney Huffman earned 500 career kills!
- The girls wore green ribbon last week to honor a Medina Valley volleyball player, Cara Garcia, who was in a car accident recently. She was hit by an impaired driver. The last update I saw, she is still intubated and being taken off her sedation meds. Please join us as we keep her and her family in our thoughts and prayers. #play4cara
Tuesday is our BYE date since we have a 7 team district. We will use this time to prepare for Gateway who will come to the Dawg House on Friday! We hope you can all swing by before the homecoming festivities and football game. Varsity will begin at 4:30 and 9/JV teams will follow around 6.
