Your Bulldog Soccer teams hosted the Marble Falls Mustangs last night.
JV had a great first half in which Isaac Saldivar scored a great goal and almost had the assist for the second as the shot went wide from his cross. Roberto Montoya was an animal in goal and made so many good saves. The half time score was 1-1. The boys ran out of juice in the second half and Marble put in a couple of goals. A couple of goals were scored in the last 5 minutes of the game to make it 5-1, but the Bulldogs fought hard.
Varsity succumbed to the same fate as all other district opponents this year as Marble Falls defeated them 6-0 and stayed perfect in district play. Hector Arredondo had a stellar game as well as Miguel Valdez. Derik Colis and Rigo Valdez played their hearts out, but the speed and precision of the Mustangs was just too much.
The boys host Austin Achieve on Friday and start the second round of district. The boys currently sit 3rd in District at 3-2.
