Lady Dawg Soccer Update

From Coach Myhre:

The Lady Dawgs have been busy the last week with lots of good soccer being played!

Last Tuesday we traveled over to Jarrell for a district game. The Lady Dawgs came out strong and walked away with an 8-1 win. Amelia Griffin led the dawgs with 4 goals and an assist. Kaycie Banton had a goal and 4 assists, Reagan Shipley had a goal and an assist. Savannah Griffin and Isela Hernandez both had a goal, and Emily Wagner and Julie Suazo both added an assist.

Friday we hosted Wimberley in a non district game. This game was a GOOD one. They are a top team in our region! The Lady Dawgs were down 3-0 and came back fighting to tie it up 3-3. Amelia Griffin had all 3 goals and Hailee Beltran had an assist.

Last night (Tuesday) we traveled over to Lago Vista for another district game. The girls were on fire and were passing the ball around well. We were able to snag a 7-0 win. Amelia Griffin had 5 goals and 4 assists, Brook Oliva was back from being injured and had a goal and 4 assists, Kaycie Banton had a goal and an assist, and Reagan Shipley had an assist. Our defense and goalie worked hard to keep a clean sheet in the back. Defense consisted of GK Juliet Morales, Reagan Shipley, Emily Wagner, Adriana Briggs, Kodi Opperman, Mari Sanchez, and Maria Reyes.

These girls are 4-0 in district and are just getting started!

We will HOST a district game VS  Gateway Friday night, and would love to have the stands filled with green. We play at 5, so you can pop down before the basketball game! We will have homemade street tacos in our concession stand.

These girls are FUN to watch!!! .

Thank you for the support, and GO DAWGS!!
