From Coach Speer:
On Wednesday, April 19th your Bulldogs traveled to Gatesville to compete in the Districts 23 & 24 Area Track Meet with the top 4 finishers advance to next week's regional meet.
Overall, the boys finished in 3rd place out of 12 teams and were once again led by our distance runners.
Individual Performances:
- Victor Aviles was Area Runner-up in the 3200 and 1600m! He also took home the gold once again in the 800m! (photo)
- Hudson Bennett placed 4th in both the 3200m & 1600m. He will also advance to the regional meet. (photo)
- Isaias Zarate had another fantastic meet finishing 6th in the 3200m and 8th in the 800m.
- Garner Krause finished 6th in the High Jump while Riley Howell finished 8th.
- Varsity Pole Vaulters stepped it up this week and took their place back on top of the podium. Brayden Hill was your Area Champion and Brady Rygaard was the runner-up. Both look forward to trying to punch their ticket to state next week. (photo)
- Grant Jones had another full day. He placed 5th in the Triple Jump, 5th in the 200m, and 4th in the Long Jump. He was also a member of both the 4x100 & 4x200 relay teams. Grant advances to the regional meet with his 4th place finish in the Long Jump. (photo)
- Varsity 4x100 Relay 8th Place: Kris Kassner, Grant Jones, Dash Denton, & Colton Stanford.
- Varsity 4x200 Relay 5th Place: Khris Kassner, Brody Danson, Colton Stanford, & Grant Jones
In all, we will have 5 Bulldogs traveling to Bullard next Thursday thru Saturday for the AAAA Region 4 track meet.
