Happy Monday!
This last week was a crazy week for the Lady Dawgs.
Tuesday both JV and Varsity started district @ Austin Achieve. JV walked away with a 6-0 win and Varsity snagged a 7-1 win. Amelia Griffin and Samantha Gaylord led the dawgs with 2 goals each, and Caroline Valencia, Kaycie Banton and Brook Oliva each found the back of the net. Kaycie Banton and Lainey Rye each had 2 assists , Reagan Shipley, Taylor Petty and Caroline Valencia all had an assist as well.
Thursday JV started strong at the JV tournament in Salado beating Cameron Yoe 6-0. That afternoon they fought hard but came up short losing to Midlothian Heritage 3-1.
Friday, varsity had another district game against Florence. The girls came out hot and walked away with an 8-0 win. Amelia Griffin led the Lady Dawgs with a hat trick ( 3 goals ) and 3 assists. Brook Oliva was right behind her with 2 goals, Kaycie Banton, Caroline Valencia, and Emily Wagner all also found the back of the net. Caroline had 2 assists and Taylor Petty had 3 assists. Defense and our GK kept it clean in the back with no goals given up.
Saturday JV competed for 3rd against IDEA and won 4-1!! They came home with some hardware!
This put us 2-0 in district and 13-2 overall. Coach Suarez and I are SO proud of this program and the goals they have set!
