Last night your Lady Dawgs traveled to Canyon Lake to play the Lady Hawks.
JV started the night off with a big 5-2 win! This was the first game since Christmas break, and they came out hot and determined to get it done!
Varsity was down 1-0 at half, and came out fighting and showed so much heart and took the game 3-1 in the second half. Taylor Petty, Brook Oliva, and Amelia Griffin all scored a goal. Brook and Amelia both had an assist and Julie Suazo had the other assist.
Defense killed it, and our goalie Juliet Morales had tremendous saves the entire night that kept us in the game, and was our player of the game!
This was a TRUE showing of how much heart and fight this team has. Canyon Lake and us went into this game both 5-0 , and they are a team we could see later on in playoffs!
We are now 6-0 and get to continue to compete this weekend at the Burnet Classic!
