I am so proud to share the results with y'all from Saturday's Tex Robertson Swim/Dive Meet, a long Standing tradition here in Burnet.
We had an excellent turnout with 19 Teams attending; a combination of 5A & 4A Schools. Burnet finished 7th Overall, 6th for the Girls team and 7th on the Boys side. If we factor out all the 5A Schools Burnet came in 1st place with 298 points, 162 points ahead of the next 4A team.
The following athletes placed and gained points for the team. We score up to 8th place when competing.
-The Boys 200 Medley Relays placed 8th.
-Isabel Lunsford finished 2nd in the 200 Freestyle.
-Hayden Brown came in 6th place in the 200 Freestyle.
-Julia Jenkins finished 2nd in Diving with 249.90 Points.
-Julia Kratwell placed 2rd in Diving with 218.80 Points.
-Isabel Lunsford finished 3rd in the 100 Butterfly.
-The Girls 200 Freestyle finished 5th.
-The Boys 200 Freestyle finished 7th.
-Caroline Lunsford placed 7th in the 100 Backstroke.
-Lucuiz Griego came in 7th place in the 100 Backstroke.
-The Girls 400 Freestyle finished 7th.
-The Boys 400 Freestyle finished 5th.
In the swimming world, it all comes down to time. The following athletes had time drops or personal bests.
-Brice Cardwell dropped 1.78 seconds in his 50 Freestyle.
-Lucuiz Griego dropped 0.37 seconds in his 100 Backstroke.
-Levi Kleen dropped 1.83 seconds in his 200 Freestyle.
-Levi Kleen dropped 0.89 seconds in his 100 Freestyle.
-Mason Roberts dropped 2.69 seconds in his 100 Butterfly.
-Rickie Steemer dropped 3.22 seconds in his 50 Freestyle.
-The Girls A 400 Freestyle Relay dropped 4.60 seconds (Graciela Lara Duran, Caroline Lunsford, Elyzabeth Musiak & Isabel Lunsford).
-The Boys A 400 Freestyle Relay dropped 2.98 seconds (Aidan Zollitsch, Hayden Hamner, Stellan Zollitsch & Hayden Brown).
