Summary of the Week for Lady Dawg Volleyball

This week has been busy for our BHS volleyball teams! On Tuesday, all three teams traveled to Austin Bowie High School. The Freshman Team picked up another win in straight sets (seen in one picture with their maroon ribbons to support Uvalde's first day back at school). The JV team lost in three sets to a tough team. The Varsity girls lost a hard fight in 4 sets. It was a great experience to compete with a great 6A program! (Varsity Stats and Scores are below.)

On Thursday, the JV and Freshman teams competed in the TEXFEST tournament in Wimberley. Both teams won their pools, 3-0, to put them in the Gold Bracket for Saturday! 

Friday, we hosted Johnson City for homecoming matches. The Varsity struggled with the quickness of the Lady Eagle offense and came up short in all three sets. The JV lost in 3 very exciting sets and the Freshman pulled out a win in 3 sets!  (Varsity Stats and Scores are below.)

Saturday wrapped up our week, with a 5:30 am departure for the Freshman and JV girls. The Freshmen defeated Fredericksburg in 2, but lost in 3 to Johnson City this time. Our JV girls dominated over NBCA in 2 sets, but later lost a close one to Wimberley.  

Despite some upsets, there were many positives that will help us continue to grow! Our girls work very hard and we are so proud of them! 

 

Next week, all three teams will host Salado on Tuesday. Then, we will host a 9th/JV  tournament on Thursday and Saturday. On Friday, all three will travel to Gatesville. Here is to the best week yet! Go Lady Dawgs!!
