BHS Interact has already had a busy year of community service. During the holiday season Interact partnered with Rotary in the Annual Salvation Army Kettle project.
This year also marks the second year BHS Interact members participated in the MLK Day of service. Members spent several hours helping at the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of Burnet.
Interact is right now collecting shoes for their International service project, Soles4Souls. The annual project continues to grow each year. It has not only been an excellent service project, it has really helped Interact grow relationships with other groups in Burnet. Burnet Middle School’s Interact as well as other community organizations aid this effort by providing drop off points for the shoes.
Interact members understand the power of the organization is in the ability to serve others. Their goal, each year, is to grow that within members and as a student community service organization at Burnet High School.
The BHS Interact program is so grateful for the continuing support of Burnet CISD and the Burnet Rotary Club in making their purpose of Service above Self possible.
