Items

  • 1
Box(es) of Kleenex® Brand Facial Tissues (Optional)
The classroom is in need of a couple of boxes
  • 1
    Combination Lock (Optional)
A lock is recommended but not required. If a student chooses to use a lock, the combination or code must be emailed to Chef Morgan so it can be accessed in case of emergencies or forgotten codes.
  • 1
    Hair Elastics (Optional)
A few hair ties to keep in their locker for those with long hair
  • 1
    Hat (Optional)
Wearing a hat in the kitchen is required for food safety. Chef hats will be provided for student use— no need to purchase one. Students may optionally purchase a plain black ball cap for added comfort and style. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C8J383KK?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_4&th=1&psc=1
  • 1
Package(s) of Baby Wipes, Huggies (Optional)
  • 1
Pair of Socks (Toddler, Child, Teen)
Plain black ankle or crew cut socks are required for catering events, competitions, and public-facing activities. While not required for everyday class, students should have a clean pair ready for professional appearances.
  • 1
    Pants
Students should wear plain black scrub pants or chef pants on lab days. I recommend looser fitting or baggy styles that can be easily worn over regular school clothes. This helps keep cooking smells off their daily outfits and makes for an easier transition between classes.
  • 1
    Pencil Bag/Pouch (Optional)
We recommend students keep a small pencil bag or pouch in their locker or backpack to safely store rings, earrings, bracelets, or watches during labs.
  • 1
    Shoes, Teen
Students must wear non-slip, closed-toe, hard-top, plain black shoes on lab days. These protect against spills, slips, and injuries in the kitchen. A long-lasting option I personally recommend: Crocs Bistro Work Clog (I’ve had mine for over five years. They’re durable, easy to clean, and meet all safety requirements.)
