About Roy Kiser
Coach Kiser is in his 23rd year at Burnet High School and his 33rd year in education. He has been the head boys basketball coach in Burnet since 2003. Coach Kiser is now teaching Career Prep and PE. He is also the head boys golf coach.
Kiser graduated from Abilene High School in 1986. He earned his Bachelor of Education degree from Hardin-Simmons University in 1991. He and his wife Gina, who is the Middle School librarian, have three sons, Derek, who graduated Burnet HS in 2014 and is a Physician's Assistant in Frisco with his wife Shelby and children Hudson and Karsyn, Drew Kiser, who graduated Burnet HS in 2017 and works for Benchmark Mortgage and is married to former Lady Dawg basketball player, Paris (Brinkley), and Luke Kiser, a recent graduate of UT Dallas and transfer to the MBA program at St. Edward's University where he plays on the basketball team.
