Hello,
Welcome! I am the Burnet High School Librarian. After attending the University of Texas at Austin's ISchool and receiving my Texas Library Media Specialist certification in 2002, I joined De Zavala Elementary campus in San Marcos where I served as their librarian for five years. The following seven years were spent with Liberty Hill Middle School campus as librarian. This is my twelfth year as librarian at Burnet High School.
I enjoy helping young people discover new pathways to find information and new digital tools to enhance learning, communicating, and creating. My goal is to help Burnet High School students become Future Ready for either college or career. Because I said I would, I promise to guide students through vast amounts of information to become Future Ready.
The BHS Media Center website has great resources: Gale Cengage Learning, Britannica & Britannica Moderna, Infobase, Culture Grams, ProQuest, and Teaching Books.
BHS library opens at 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, book recommendations, resources, or need help with assignments.
