Introduction!

Karen Tarver is excited to join Burnet HS this school year as a counselor for alpha G-N.  She is from a family of educators, and both her Dad and Grandma taught at Burnet HS!   Karen started her career in education as a dance teacher and drill team director in the Houston and Austin Area.  She started in college at Kilgore College, where she was a member of the World Famous Rangerettes Dance Team. Karen graduated with her BA in Dance from Sam Houston State University, where she was a member of the SHSU Orange Pride Dance Team and the dance company.  She also has her Masters degree from Sam Houston State.
