Welcome! :)
Hello there and welcome to Coach Jones' class!!
I am so happy to have you all here! I am returning for year 4 at BHS and will be teaching Anatomy and Physiology and Sports Medicine.
Other than being the coolest teacher you know, I am also one of 2 athletic trainers here at Burnet High School.
I grew up in the Hill Country, graduating from Lampasas High School in 2011. After high school, I went on and graduated from Harding University with my Bachelors degree in Athletic Training, becoming a licensed and board certified athletic trainer in 2016. I started my career in outreach, where I worked in a physical therapy clinic and then a hospital to provide athletic training services to local high schools. After being away from home for 9 years, I finally decided it was time to come home and pour into the communities and schools that helped raised me and will ultimately be helping raise my own daughter. That's when I found myself here at Burnet High School, also beginning my teaching career! It's been an incredible couples years and I'm so excited to be continuing this journey.
Outside of the title of "teacher" and "athletic trainer", my favorite title I hold is "mom". I am the proud momma of a sassy, smart, and hilarious 8 year old daughter, Kinsley. We have one dog (Bella) and a cat (Sweetie Pie)! When not at school, I enjoy going on adventures and traveling with my daughter whenever we can (I just got back from Paris, France where I got to watch an Olympic event), reading, being with friends and family, cooking, or being around any kind of water.
I am so excited and positive this will be the best year yet! Go Bulldogs and Lady Dawgs! <3
