Congratulations to our fearless leader, Casey Burkhart, for being chosen as the recipient for the January Gem of Appreciation Award.

As all of us here at BHS know, it is not uncommon for Sherry to help a struggling student who needs an extra boost of confidence. However, Sherry was the first person from BHS to be nominated by a source outside of the district! She was nominated as a Gem by Staff Sgt. Woody after he heard from a student about all the time and effort she has put in to helping him achieve his life-long dream. Congratulations Sherry!

Jane has a wealth of knowledge about BCISD as well as the students who attend. She does a masterful job at daily-Capturing Kid's Hearts and building relationships. Jane builds the Master Schedule which in itself is enough for a nomination! She continuously goes out of her way to help others and is such a great asset to this school district.
Jane truly represents a Gem!

Mr. Chafin provides calm, dependable leadership at Burnet High School. He is ever ready to help any and everyone with any need. He has great relationships with students and teachers alike. Mr. Chafin is always ready to lend a helping hand and is not afraid of hard work. He is as constant as the North Star amd BHS could not function without him. He is a special kind of leader...a Gem in our book. Congratulations Randy Chafin...one of the good guys!
