2025 4A State Champion - Victor Aviles!!!

From Coach Heusinkveld:
On Thursday, May 1, Victor Aviles finished out his last track meet wearing a bulldog uniform on the biggest stage in Texas. Victor qualified for the 4A State Championship Track meet in all 3 of his running events (3200m, 800m, and 1600m).

Victor finished with a 2nd place finish in his first race of the day, the 3200m, with a time of 9:15.96 which was just shy of breaking the school record set by Hudson Bennet (9:15.32).

Victor finished first in the 800m with a time of 1:54.25 and first in the 1600m with a time of 4:17.88. I can not tell you how difficult it is to compete in three events on the same day at the highest level. We are incredibly proud of Victor and what he was able to accomplish.

Victor also received the most prestigious honor at the end of the track meet. Victor was named the Boys 4A athlete of the meet. This is awarded to the person that contributes the most amount of points to the team total at the end of the meet.

Thank you to everyone that has helped support and encourage him along his journey. Victor felt very loved and supported by his peers and community over the last couple of days. Thank you to everyone that showed up to support him and see him finish his high school career on top!
