The Highlandettes competition season has come to an end. We are very proud of these young ladies and all of the hard work they put in for this competition season. We attended two competitions this year, one was a solo only competition and the other was a team competition.
On Saturday February 1st, several Highlandette soloists competed at the Stacy Danielson solo and ensemble Contest in Cedar Park. The soloists include:

Each one of these young ladies performed beautifully and have grown so much this season.
Team Competition was held at Liberty Hill High School on Saturday February 8th. We competed 3 officer dances, 3 team dances, 1 duet and 6 solos. We are so proud of how these young ladies showed up and performed.

The Highlandettes came away with clean sweeps in the both the team and officer divisions, winning all three categories: novelty, jazz, and contemporary. They also received team and officer Sweepstakes (86 and above on all routines) as well as judges awards on all dance (92 and above). The officer novelty received an overall supreme judges award. They were also named Grand Champion team and officers in their classification and placed 3rd place Best of the Best Overall (all teams and sizes combined). Lastly, the team received an invitation to the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade!
We are so incredibly proud of these young ladies and would like to thank BCISD for their support and especially thank BHS staff and admin for their continued encouragement!
