Raine Morris, Yesica Perez-Huerta, and Serenity Vaughn were selected by Theatre, Choir, and Art.
From Mrs. Brandenburg, Theatre Director:
Raine Morris is an outstanding example of an exemplary student who demonstrates Spirit, Pride and Honor everyday. Raine has been in BETC for 2 years and Tech Theatre for 3 years. She is a technician and does many things behind the scenes, particularly painting and costuming. She has costumed 2 musicals, competed in UIL Theatrical Design in individual costume design and is currently working on her entry for this year. You may remember her as the 2024 4A UIL Theatrical Design State Champion for Individual Costume Design. Her attention to detail, art style, and symbolism of all the elements on her design were exceptional. Even the judge had little critique to give. While that is impressive enough, her costume designs and creations for the fall musical, Tuck Everlasting, were truly breathtaking.
While Raine is phenomenal in BETC, she is also outstanding in the classroom and other extracurricular activities. Raine strives for academic excellence taking many AP and dual credit courses. Raine is currently taking art and is a member of the, newly founded, D and D club.
Raine was very quiet when she first came to my class, but her creativity spoke leaps and bounds about her before she even used her voice. Now that she has spent some time in my program she has begun to open up and now I hear about her many interests like camping, Renaissance festivals, playgrounds, Animal Crossing, and Hello Kitty. Raine is most likely the most talented artist to come through my program. The focus on details that Raine has as she works is as admirable as it is impressive. In the words of Henri Mattise, “Creativity takes courage.” This young lady’s creativity is present in all she does and that courage shows me that she will be quite the success.
Raine plans to attend Texas State and study Computer Science. I am proud to present Raine Morris as the Theatre student of the month.

From Mrs. Zamora, Choir Director:
Yesica Perez-Huerta is a wonderful student. She is an active choir member and a leader in and outside of the classroom. Yesica has been in choir since middle school and has grown abundantly in her vocal ability. She has competed in UIL Solo & Ensemble each year making superior ratings and was a part of our UIL Sweepstakes choir. Yesica is in AP and Dual Credit classes, is an active member in art and is an A honor roll student. Yesica is our alto section leader for our Varsity Chorale and holds the secretary position as a choir officer. She always puts others first and is ready to lend a helping hand. After high school Yesica plans to attend college at UT and majoring in Marketing.

She is consistently demonstrating school spirit and teamwork through her classes and extracurricular involvement.
Serenity is an excellent artist and one of the top students in my Art 4 - Drawing 3 Class. She demonstrates all the artistic skills all while being one of the most respectful students in class.
Serenity's achievements extend beyond academics and extracurriculars, as Serenity has been honored with the Spirit Pride Honor (SPH) award, a testament to her positive attitude and contributions to her school community.
