First thanks to BCISD, Coach Hale, Coach Kiser, Coach Messer, Mr. Malina, Burnet Athletic Booster Club and Chad Nelson (keeping www.btxsportsonline.com alive and well). There are others and I'm grateful to them also!
Tomorrow will begin the broadcasting of Burnet Varsity Boys and Girls' District (District 24-4A) Basketball games on the internet at www.btxsportsonline.com.
Currently we will use the same system as the football broadcasts on the internet. There will be a link on www.btxsportsonline.com that will direct you to an audio only YouTube channel. BTX Sports Online. The football games are archived there. Click on the Live button and you can find the basketball games once I have started the broadcast.
I will be broadcasting all district games (Mr. Malina will be joining me for most) except there are 2 dates on which the teams don't play at the same location. I'll plan to broadcast the away game.
I am going to do something different tomorrow because the opportunity is there. The Varsity girls play a non-district game vs. Blanco at 2:15pm (school has early release). I'm going to attempt to broadcast that game at 2:15pm and then the Varsity boys' district opener vs Marble Falls at 6:15pm (If I run into time issues, I could just do the boys' game... but as it is a district game... I will broadcast it).
There are a few district games during the Christmas break. I will be broadcasting those as well. That includes a game New Year's Eve and games at home and in Marble Falls on January 3rd. at 2:30pm and 6:15pm. We will see how that goes.
