From Coach Atwood:
I am thrilled to announce that our BHS cheerleading team has earned a well-deserved third-place finish in their division and our BMS cheerleading team finished in the top 5 of their division at the NCA State of Texas Championship on Saturday Dec 14th! This incredible achievement is a true reflection of the teams' dedication, talent, along with mental and physical toughness.
This third place finish for BHS has secured them a bid to NCA High School Nationals in January. They will also compete at the UIL Spirit State Championship in January as well.
BMS performed with heart and passion leaving everything on the mat. Only 6 hundredths of a point separated them from a higher placing finish. We are sad to see their competition season come to an end.
Throughout the season, both teams faced numerous challenges, from overcoming injuries to battling self-doubt. Yet, time and time again, they pushed through with unmatched resilience, determination, and teamwork. Their ability to stay focused and lift each other up, even in the toughest moments, has been nothing short of inspiring.
This competition was a powerful testament to the strength of our teams' spirit, pride and honor. We are incredibly proud of what they’ve accomplished, and we can’t wait to see where their continued effort and passion will take them.
Please join me in congratulating our cheerleaders for their outstanding performance and remarkable perseverance.
