Lady Dawg Volleyball Update

From Coach Crystal Shipley:

Our Lady Dawgs wrapped up district play on Tuesday at Gateway. The Freshman Team ended their season with another big win! JV and Varsity fell a little short against tough Gateway teams. We are so proud of the commitment these girls have had for our program for the last 13 weeks! Listed below are some highlights from the season:

The Freshman Team only had 2 losses in district, both to Salado in three sets. They end the season in 2nd place!
JV only had 2 district losses as well, one to Salado and one to Gateway. That keeps them TIED for the District Championship this year!!
Varsity ended with an 8-4 district record, only losing to Salado and Gateway, earning 3rd place!
Varsity is headed to the playoffs as the No. 1 Division 1 school, so we will play Gatesville, who is the No. 2 Division 1 school in their district.
It has been an incredible season with a lot of growth from all three teams! There is tons of talent coming up in the future and that is exciting!!
The Varsity girls played in a warm-up match on our day off, Friday! We traveled to Johnson City to play an outstanding JC team to get ready for the playoffs. Our girls pulled out a huge 5 set WIN!!
We are ready for ROUND ONE of the playoffs on Tuesday!! (SEE BELOW)
