From Coach Shipley:
This past week was a GREAT one for the Lady Dawg Volleyball teams! We are very proud of our girls for the commitment and time they put in each week! It is paying off and we hope to seal our spot in the playoffs on Tuesday!
Highlights from the week:
- All three teams defeated Lampasas in a clean sweep on Tuesday!
- All three teams defeated Taylor in a clean sweep on Friday!
- Tuesday was Lil Miss night! Our varsity team chose young girls they have a special relationship with and gave them a tour of the locker room. They also got to stand and run through for pre-game announcements.
- A special thank you to Lampasas girls and Coach Wiley for forming a tunnel for our Lil Miss girls to run through! It is so special to see both varsity teams make this something these little girls will remember forever!
- Camryn Courtney hit 2 major milestones in her career! We celebrated her 100 Aces and 1,500 Assists!! Way to go Cam!!!
This week, we host Jarrell on Tuesday for our final home game of the season. It will be our Senior/Parent night for the varsity girls. We hope to see the bleachers full of DAWGS on Tuesday to support this crew as they work to set our spot in the playoffs! JV and 9th will start at 5 and Varsity will follow around 6 pm.
Friday is an OPEN date so our girls are looking forward to cheering on the DAWGS in Brownwood that evening!!
We will finish district play on Oct. 29 at Georgetown Gateway.
