From Mrs. Zamora, Choir Director:
On Saturday, February 24, sixteen of our BHS Choir students attended the UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest at Westlake High school. All solos are performed from memory, written in various languages, and are judged on a scale of 1-5 (1- being the highest) for accuracy, musicality, and technique. Of these 16 students we had 8 soloists receive a superior rating of (I) and 8 soloists receive an excellent rating of (II). In Receiving a superior rating we had 6 students that will be advancing to the UIL STATE Solo & Ensemble contest in May. I am so incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication, and I am blessed to be a part of this journey. Thanks to Lily Zollitsch for accompanying our students and thank you for your continued support towards our Choir program. Go Bulldogs!
