State Marching Contest Information!

Congratulations to the Esprit de Corps for advancing for the fourth year in a row to the
UIL State Marching Contest in San Antonio!
 
The UIL 4A State Marching Contest will be held Wednesday, November 1, at the
Alamodome, and the Esprit de Corps is scheduled to perform in Prelims (Session 4) at
4:15 p.m. The 10 finalists will be announced at 4:45 p.m. and the Finals (Session 5) will
begin at 7:00 p.m. Separate tickets are required for the Prelims and the Finals - Single
Session Tickets: $20 plus fees; Double Session (Sessions 4&5) Tickets: $35 plus fees.
 
Because this state contest is taking place at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, students wishing to
attend should stay at school through the morning and travel in the afternoon to the
contest. Please note the following information:
  • Students that attend the contest as a spectator will receive a local excused absence
    if they submit a ticket from the event to the school office on Thursday, November 2.
    No tickets will be accepted after November 2.

Please note the following information:
  • The Alamodome has specific rules and regulations regarding what can be brought
    into the facility. ONLY CLEAR BAGS ARE PERMITTED INTO THE ALAMODOME. No
    food, coolers or beverages; No balloons; No air horns; No signs may be hung or
    connected to poles or sticks; No weapons; and No selfie sticks. Individuals will be
    wanded prior to entry and there will be security dogs stationed at the entrances
    and loading dock areas.

  • A limited amount of on-site spectator parking will be available in Lot B. The parking
    fee, as set by the City of San Antonio, is $15 (CARD ONLY). There are no re-entry
    privileges. Spectator overflow parking will be available off-site.
There will be a community send-off for the EDC on Wednesday morning, November 1 at 11:30 from
the Student Activity Center.
