From Coach Shipley:
On Tuesday, our Lady Dawgs wrapped up district play in Jarrell. The Freshman Lady Dawg Team ended their season as UNDEFEATED District Champions (picture attached)! This group has put in so much time since the spring. They showed up for workouts, open gym and league games. They are eager to learn and committed to getting better. Coach Kelley’s love for teaching the little things sure paid off! Their overall record is 23-6, with 10 of those wins in district. We are so proud of this crew and look forward to next season with them!
The JV Lady Dawgs ended their season with a 2 set defeat over Jarrell. Only losing one district match, they are District Champs as well!! They end their season with a 20-9 record, 9 of those wins are in district. We (coaches) knew this team had extreme talent from the day we formed teams. They play well together and have learned a lot under Coach Eaton’s lead. This crew is going to do big things in the future and we can’t wait!!
Our Varsity girls clinched the 2nd place spot in a thrilling five set match! We’ve only gone to 5 one other time this season (early preseason vs. Copperas Cove). It was a good pressure situation to have to push through and finish strong! Details from the match are below.
The Bi-District Playoff Match will be on October 31st at Georgetown East View at 7pm. Come spend part of your Halloween with us as we take on the Waco Robinson Rockets.
