Burnet Volleyball Weekly Recap

This past week, our Lady Dawgs traveled to Lago Vista and hosted Lampasas. All three teams had a great week, earning two more wins! Friday was an eventful night, honoring and celebrating many people! This was our designated PINK OUT game to raise the awareness of breast cancer. We also honored our game officials with a gift as a thank you for their dedication and sacrifice. To add to the fun, we started a new tradition with our Little Miss Lady Dawg recognition! Thanks to our elementary principals Abby O'Hair, Jessica McMullen and Christine Hoffman for helping us pull this off! This year, our Varsity team wanted to make connections and instill the love of volleyball to our elementary students. 2nd and 3rd grade students were selected for their outstanding academics, effort, attendance, character and leadership. These are all traits that our Lady Dawgs value and strive to be great at daily! These girls were able to help in warm-up, be a part of line up announcements and take a tour of the locker rooms. It was a great first for our program and allowed our volleyball players to see they have a special impact on our "littles". Thank you to the teachers who helped select these students and to the parents for getting them to the game and allowing this to happen!
