This morning (October 9, 2023) your Burnet Cross Country Teams competed in the district 24-4A meet hosted by Marble Falls. They had a phenomenal morning!
To our knowledge, it is the first time in program history that all 4 teams have won the championship for their division at the same time!! These student-athletes are truly incredible, they have persevered through hard days & early mornings. Today, they competed for their teammates, they finished the race stronger than they started, and they ran with pride. Almost every single athlete earned an individual medal today! Victor Aviles, Asah Roy, and Marissa Aviles won the title of district champion for their divisions as well.
Proud is an understatement.
Thank you to everyone who has supported these athletes throughout the season, it was pretty cool to see an entire section of Burnet fans & athletes at the awards ceremony!
