From Coach Shipley:
This past week, our Lady Dawgs finished up the first round of district play! On Tuesday, both 9th and JV picked up wins in straight sets! Varsity lost a tough one in four sets. On Friday, we hosted Jarrrell and all three teams came out on a mission and got the job done quickly, not losing a set! This puts the Varsity sitting in the #2 spot behind Gateway, JV is also in the 2 spot behind Marble Falls and our 9th grade team is in 1st after round one! We know all of our girls will be ready to work and go after our best in the second half of district!
We also got to honor three varsity players for some pretty amazing milestones (picture attached)! Zaria Solis reached her 600 career kills, MaeSyn Gay has earned over 900 career kills and Camryn Courtney has now surpassed 1,000 career assists! We are so proud of these girls! They continue to set the bar high and have amazing teammates that have helped contribute to these accomplishments!
Coming up next week...
Tuesday, we will all be at Lago Vista with 9/JV starting at 5 and Varsity starting at 6.
Friday, we host Lampasas for our PINK OUT GAME. Varsity will play at 5 and JV/9th at 6!
