The Burnet Bulldog tennis team wrapped up pre-district play on Saturday morning. Luckily the temperatures were kind to us and it was a beautiful morning for tennis!
The matches were closely contested, but we dropped 4 of the 5 doubles matches to start 1-4. In singles play, Tatum Salinas, Aly Van Zandt, and Blake Feldt took care of business with some comfortable wins. Sam Burton got her first win of the season in a tough match that went to a third set tie breaker. Nick Dietrich lost in a third set tiebreaker, but played a heck of a match. And Alex Burns lost 2 very tightly played sets in her singles match. The final score was 5-14.
District play begins on Thursday when Salado comes to Burnet.
