State Track Meet Results

From Coach Speer:
Yesterday, 4 of your Bulldogs traveled to Austin and competed in the UIL Conference 4 State Track Meet at Mike Myers Stadium. It was an incredible day for our Burnet athletes. At the end of the day, we walked away with 3 Gold Medals and finished 6th place overall in the state.

Individual Performances:
Brayden Hill was your Conference 4A State Champion in the pole vault clearing a height of 15"!
Brady Rygaard finished 6th place with a vault of 14'! Unbelievable start to the day for us. Coach Overstreet has done an amazing job with these vaulters.
Victor Aviles dominated the last 200m of his race to again break his own school record and win the Gold in the 800m.
Hudson Bennett completed his unbelievable comeback and ended his high school career with a Gold medal in the 1600m.

Coach Kristi Jones has done an outstanding job with her distance runners this year. So proud of her and her boys. I also want to recognize our trainers Angel Rios and Mariah Jones. Mariah has especially been crucial in getting Hudson back to competition ready after his injury.

It was a great day to be a Bulldog. Thank you so much for all the fan support. It was unbelievable the amount of kelly green we saw in the stands yesterday. These boys will never forget hearing our crowd chant their names as they competed. Thank you Burnet!
