The Lady Dawg track team spent the past two days at Marble Falls for the District 24-4A track meet. We had wonderful weather for the meet and the Lady Dawgs traveled and performed extremely well. The Varsity Lady Dawg squad and JV Lady Dawg squad are the DISTRICT CHAMPIONS!!!! This is the first time that both squads have taken this honor in the same season. The varsity standings for the meet are as follows: Burnet-188, Lago Vista-118, Jarrell-116, Gateway-79, Marble Falls-50, & Lampasas-49. The JV standings for the meet are as follows: Burnet-215, Gateway-90, Lampasas-78, Jarrell-77, Lago Vista-30, & Marble Falls-15. Burnet will be represented by 17 girls at the Area Meet next week in Gatesville. We are so excited for those area qualifiers (AQ) and what the future holds for Lady Dawg track in the future. Great showing from these girls. We are thankful for their dedication, hard work, handling hard better, & persistence. Thanks to all the administration, teachers, and parents for their support throughout this season. Thanks to all our coaches who have done a great job with these young men and women this season.
