Congratulations to the BHS Students of the Month, Kdee McCurry and Kurt Kassner!

The Burnet High School Students of the Month for April are Kdee McCurry and Kurt Kassner. Both of these students are involved in multiple programs of study in Career and Technical Education.

Kdee's teachers had these great things to say about her:

"Kdee McCurry is the embodiment of what being a Senior at BHS is all about- not just because she has great attendance, good grades, and no behavior issues. It is because Kdee has proven throughout her entire high school career that she is capable of high achievement and overcoming challenges. She has proven that no matter what the challenge is, it will not keep her from setting the example, not just academically, but in athletics as well as her endeavors to further her education beyond high school to achieve her dream job and serve her community. Kdee McCurry IS SPIRIT, PRIDE, & HONOR!"

"Kdee is one of the smartest and kindest young ladies I have. She is very organized, turns in her work in a timely manner. She is very eager to learn and one of the first students to volunteer to participate during class discussions. I enjoy teaching Kdee very much, and she is very much deserving of this award."

Kurt's teachers had these great things to say about him:

"Kurt has exceptional leadership in the wood shop. He is always challenging himself and others around him. Kurt’s projects have always shown a great reflection of his dedication and work ethic. He is a great asset to have in the ag program."

"He epitomizes the meaning of Spirit, Pride, and Honor. Every day he comes into class with a positive attitude and is always respectful towards his teachers and students. He shows dedication to everything he puts his mind to whether that is inside the classroom, on the baseball field, and in his work/personal life. He is a natural leader and I am confident that he will be successful in where life takes him after Burnet High School."

"I was at HEB last fall and met Kurt's boss that he was working for. He describes Kurt as the most trustworthy, helpful and wonderful young man. The gentleman told me that he was losing one of the best hands that he had ever employed, and wanted to know if I had anybody that could possibly replace him."
