The Burnet Lady Dawg Golf Team (Avery Gowin, Cambria Neenan, Grace Gates, and Payton Smith (not in the picture, she had to race off to another school event) competed in the district tournament on Monday and Tuesday. They all did a fantastic job, especially on day 2, fighting the cold and WINDY conditions. Avery and Cambria finished tied for 2nd medalist and had a sudden death playoff hole to determine who would play in the regional tournament. With the district coaches and players all watching, the girls played the 18th hole very well with Avery winning the par five with a 10 foot putt for par. Cambria will also attend the regional tournament as the first alternate. In addition, both girls earned 1st team ALL DISTRICT honors which go to the top 10 players from the tournament.
