Boys Soccer Bi-District Playoffs

From Coach Boorman -

Bulldog Nation:

Your Boys' Soccer Team traveled to Dripping Springs last Friday to take on the defending State Champs, Boerne Greyhounds.  The boys were pumped as this is the first playoff game this program has played in. I am proud of what these boys accomplished this season as they earned the right to play one of the best teams in the State. Dripping Springs is host to one of the largest soccer fields in the State of Texas (they are not all the same), and this had its advantages and disadvantages. It was great weather and a beautiful venue to play.

The boys were a little intimidated in the first half, and although Boerne came out wailing shots the boys repelled a lot of advances.  After some miscues the goals started pouring in.  At half time, the boys were reminded that their effort was the only thing they could control, and I'm proud to say that with that talk and a formation adjustment, the boys held their starters to 1 goal in the second half.  The defensive effort they put in was incredible.  This is really positive for the building of the program for next year.  The score ended 8-0, but the boys really played well in the 2nd half and were proud of their efforts.

It was a tremendous season with lots of big moments.  We truly built a great foundation for which to grow.  All District selections will be shared as soon as all the teams in our district are complete with playoffs.  Middle School soccer is starting today, and we can't wait to welcome the next generation of Bulldogs.

Thanks for all your support this season.
