The Bulldog tennis team travelled to Pflugerville Friday (3/24/23) for the final pre-district tournament. After a wet start (we had a 4 hour delay), this tournament crawled to a start.
The team of Cameron Stires and Christina Graves were able to win their first round match before dropping the quarterfinal match to the top seeded team from Connally.
Alex Davis and Kendall Bible bounced back from an opening round loss to rattle off three straight wins. Their improvement throughout the day allowed them to win the consolation bracket!
Aly Van Zandt narrowly lost her first round match to the 4th seed from Georgetown East View. However, she also kicked it into gear and won her consolation final. In the final three matches, she went 24-2 in the single set format.
Next Wednesday and Thursday the varsity will take part in the district tournament. JV follows on Friday.
