Bulldog Relays - Boys Results

From Coach Speer:

Yesterday (3/23/23) BCISD hosted the annual Bulldog Relays. Coach Shipley and I would like to thank everyone who helped make all of this possible. It takes an army of hard working volunteers to put on a first-class meet and we have that here in Burnet!

All our teams competed well versus some very tough competition and windy conditions.

Some highlights from yesterday's meet were;
  • Brayden Hill battled through some 25 mph wind gusts in the Pole Vault to break and set a new school record of 14'9". (This broke David Lindley's record of 14'6" that was set back in 2008)
  • Brady Rygaard also had a great showing finishing 2nd at 14'.
  • Grant Jones took home 3 gold medals yesterday winning the Triple Jump, Long Jump, and 200m.
  • Victor Aviles continued pacing our distance runners taking Silver in the 800m and Bronze in the 1600m.
  • Hudson Bennett ran his first race of the season and took the Silver in the 3200m.  Welcome back Hudson!
Overall your Varsity Bulldogs finished 4th and JV placed 3rd.
We are extremely proud of these young men and all their efforts.
Bulldogs will be back on the track next Thursday at Pieper High School.
