This past Friday, March 3, your Lady Dawgs made the trip to Lago Vista to take on the Lady Vikings. Your Lady Dawgs came out hard and played well. We came back with an 8-0 win over the Vikings. This puts us 1 game away from being district champs for the first time in school history!
Brook Oliva and Amelia Griffin led us with 2 goals each. Kaycie Banton, Caroline Valencia, Haylie Bartlett and Ari Chavez also all found the back of the net! Brook had 2 assists, Kaycie, Ari, Amelia each also had an assist as well as Julie Suazo and Lainey Rye. Our defense and GK Juliet Morales kept another clean sheet in the back. Holding down the fort for us in the back is Reagan Shipley, Kodi Opperman, Adriana Briggs, Emily Wagner, Mekayla Johnson, Mari Sanchez, Denise Penaloza and Haylie Bartlett.
Tomorrow (Tuesday, March 7) will be our LAST home game of the season and we will be celebrating our 5 awesome seniors!!! It is supposed to be nice out, so come help us celebrate these girls at 5:00, and the game kicking off at 5:30! We win this, we are for sure district champs! Our concession stand has street tacos soo make a whole evening of it!!!
