Your Burnet Bulldogs traveled down the road to Liberty Hill this past Saturday to compete in the 2023 Panther Relays. The JV finished 9th out of 11 squads and the Varsity scored 38 points and finished 7th of 11 squads. The results for both teams can be found here:
A couple of highlights were:
Grant Jones won the Triple Jump with a mark of 43'-5".
He also placed 3rd in the Long Jump and 5th in the 100m and 200m.
Brady Rygaard tied for 3rd in the Pole Vault clearing 13'-6".
Victor Aviles placed 2nd in the 800m with a time of 1:58.68 closing in on the school record in his first meet. Victor also placed 3rd in the 1600m with a time of 4:35.46. A blazing time for this early in the season!
This was a tough meet for both our boys and girls teams with a lot of 5A and 6A competition. Your Bulldogs will return to the track this Thursday in Lampasas for the Johnny Lam Jones Relays.
